I’ve always liked how this show seems to concentrate on stories other than the championship, I’ll be interested to see what they have in store.

Here’s one extreme example of what they are describing, other situations might also be bowed, twisted etc.

It’s so valuable to me to hear how much work goes into caring for wildlife. I’m glad there are people doing this work and there is funding for things like surgery and rehab. Sadly where I am, if you take a wild bird to a vet it will almost certainly be put to sleep.

I’m not sure they measure things that much? Isn’t it cut from this thing to that thing and the length isn’t important. Then if two cut bits are going together then it’s fairly malleable stuff, plus it organically repairs. At least that’s my guess, in case a surgeon isn’t able to reply.

If this takes off it could be a great thing for conservation. Frogs are in a lot of trouble!

Like all good propaganda, I wouldn’t expect anything else. I think Flammy has something extra over a lot of owls for the artistically inclined, with those deep void eyes and flame highlights.

Really though, there are so many I would be happy to see do well (cough barn owl cough cough)

I cannot decide, this is too hard. It’s so close too. Both are worthy winners, but for the final they both deserve the respect from me to choose someone rather than vote for both.

I know these are both popular owls; I wasn’t expecting such a dominant win for Screech with how close some of the rounds have been. I know it’s still open, but it would take some serious drama for Snowy to come back now.

I’m faced with an extremely tough call in the finals, but I’ll be happy with a new owl coming out victorious no matter what.

I looked earlier and it was close, but Buffy was lagging behind. Now it’s a clear lead but a long way to go still. I’m starting to believe in a Buffy fish title. This owl catches fish people! Vote Buffy

I would love to see a buffy screech final. I can’t name a clear favourite, they are all deserving and we’ve had so many surprises already. My frustration has been being on the losing side of almost every vote, but that’s just how things go sometimes. I’m hoping Barn owl has a strong showing next year too.
