No argument from me. There are places that make me uncomfortable, but all the idiotic open carry shenanigans here and there are just the icing on the shit cake.

Homicidal ideation does not always equate to wanting to live with having killed someone, and a lot of these people are closer to normal than they realize until they are facing potential consequences for their actions. I would posit that killing oneself after doing something so heinous is one of the saner outcomes.
A lot of people experience “fucked around, found out” immediately or shortly after they cross a line, before anyone else has a chance to tell them they fucked up.
Very few people actually carry weapons in public in most of the US, concealed or openly. It’s nothing like “most people”, or even “most gun-owners”. I have a lifetime concealed-carry permit, but my guns stay in the safe, save for specific events.
I smelled burnt toast and laughed, then decided to like this comment for reasons that still elude me… There is a stabbing pain in my cranium and I’m tearing up without knowing why.
On the contrary, its too much stuff I’m not interested in, and/or actively disinterested in, and not enough of the rest. OTOH, I don’ even remember the exact topic of this community or instance.
Seems techy and not full of absolute garbage, and that’s more than enough for me.
Done. Thanks!
Seeing this on a random dutch instance I joined when my favorite machinist reddits each chose it. No regerts
I liked it well enough. I will definitely watch more movies in this version of the story and characters, year after year, or every few years. That was true of all previous versions as well though.
Oh, so you’re certain that OP even tried to lookup a service manual, and that there’s not one available? Endoscope and the right screwdriver together are still cheaper than a new blender.
Ever heard of a teardown? Go watch some on Youtube or Peertube. You won’t find many that fail to disclose the manufacturer, that break the plastics, nor will you find many, if any, blenders that use a more common screw-head for the motor shaft.
… but sure, pontificate on behalf of targetted rage-bait that actively discredits this community versus anyone with an ounce of experience or common sense.
I deal with worse than this Blender on a daily basis, or rather I might, if the internals of the devices I work with weren’t behind literal lock-and-key, and yet, NONE of them are left un-supervised with your standard schmuck, their CHILDREN and pets.
HIDDEN screws, glues, DRM and fragile tabs are indeed a real problem. They are major reasons we need service manuals and “guitar pics” and all sorts of other non-sense that inspired the Right-to-Repair movement. OP’s Blender has NONE of those things.
Since its not about access then they never had to break anything for any reason besides their own impatience, plain and simple.
This was NEVER about access to the screw.
No, the shaft was not uncovered as a result of cutting the thing open. They were able to reach the screw-head with a regular screw-driver, just not turn it. Says right there in the post.
Learn to read, stop spamming people with your shit takes, and sure, let’s pretend replying to your copy-pasted bullshit with more copy-pasted bullshit is somehow worse. Anything to feed trolls like you.

The screw head was at the bottom of a 2 inch shaft.
They didn’t have to cut shit.

Everyone should have a bit-set that includes standard spanner bits. Especially in this community.
Phone camera; $30 digital microscope; $30 Endoscope. There are just so many better ways available to look down a hole to see what’s at the bottom than to tear apart the space around it.
Spanner bits are available in sets starting as little as $7. They are anything but “non-standard”.
The only hope I see in it is the idea that humans will survive, and even a few of them will still mean well/have morals, ethics, sincerity, conscience, or any self-awareness … things that make the continuation of the species something resembling a good or even okay outcome, as opposed to an outright blight upon the universe.
The amount of suffering portrayed is of little consequence to this, as we have plenty of suffering historically and in the now. Very, very few of those suffering the worst seem to prefer not existing, outside of the affluent countries, and I don’t accept value judgements on such things from any but the first-person perspective.
Legal what? Not abortions or weed, so … ?
Top it all off, she didn’t have weed on her, and Zofran is neither addictive nor does it have effects worth abusing.
