Congress has been shirking their responsibility to declare wars since the Gulf of Tonkin incident in 1964. They gave Presidents the power to carry out military actions abroad without a formal declaration. By passing the responsibility on to the president, Congress gets to avoid the blame for unpopular wars.
Even the Vietnam “War” which lasted 10 years, was never declared by Congress.
20·25 days agoICE doesn’t have enough people to intimidate a single blue city, let alone the country. They can’t even operate in Los Angeles without the backup of a small number of National Guard and Marines and they’re doing that illegal action over the governor’s explicit objections.
ICE are a bunch of cowards, doing safe, comfortable hits in suburbs and on people who are complying with the law. (Immigration hearings and workplaces.)

That’s not the reason why he left. He’s leaving early because he tried to hijack the G7 conference with his usual, personal grievance bullshit and to make the entire conference all about HIM, like he always does.
