Love me some “Nerd and Jock”. One of my favourites on Webtoon.
Honestly, I’m just expecting something like a program that runs in the background and blocks/blurs all things that are shown on the screen and are recognized as ads, with the option to exclude certain objects from being filtered and thus training the model. With the speed at which AI is developing, I don’t see that as being too difficult to develop in a few years. It could even run on your monitor’s hardware, kinda like MSI’s AI gaming monitor. Or on a special video cable with a little chip inside. Pretty much impossible to detect with anti-cheat too.
On the other hand, I’m also expecting AI powered ad blockers lol
And just imagine all of the shortcuts I could press at the same time while gaming!
I can just imagine it being a competition amongst speedrunners to find out the optimal amount of fingers to any% a certain game the fastest lol
Extra fingers just sound very useful.
You don’t know that, he could’ve sent some kids AI generated nudes.
They’re right tho. I call Meta Facebook like I call X Twitter. A name change can’t wash away shit lmao
Hey, can you hear that? That’s the sound of hundreds of IT support workers silently crying out at the thought of having to explain a whole new OS and new office software to some boomer.
Framework is a great company, but I’m a bit torn on Fairphone. Not sure if I like where their company is going.
EDIT: Because some people asked for clarification about Fairphone, here are my (very subjective) thoughts:
I think the idea behind Fairphone is great, and I think more phone manufacturers should take a few hints about repairability and sustainability from them.
That said, their software is just okay, missing a lot of QoL features that are found with other manufacturers. Also, I’ve seen reports of pretty gnarly bugs after OS updates, but I can’t verify those personally.
Their customer service sucks, according to a lot of people. And as someone with experience in both industries (mostly customer support) I can tell you that those things usually speak for a lackluster management.
Also, small nitpick: I really wish they’d kept a headphone jack on their newest phone.
So yeah, as I said, mostly very subjective. But hey, no one said that liking or not liking something can only be for objective reasons.
Pretty sure his parents raised him that way
To be fair, you could just delete the faulty part or click on Undo, and just save again.
I’m all for having a few child safety rules in place, like a minimum age to be able to sign up or something. But letting Meta of all companies in on the drafting process doesn’t sit right with me. Lots of potential for putting loopholes in place. At least the guys over at Pornhub seem pretty chill lol.
