There’s a hidden war over many common typos of popular domains. Almost every misspelling of YouTube redirects to the main site. Try yootube or yputube or yoitube.com. But less common misspellings or as soon as a domain registration expires, you bet some bot will snap that up and host malware, then demand a royal’s random from Google to win it back

I think you’re right. Even with the same math (20 subscriptions), you’re paying only $3 more per month as a consumer. Meanwhile, each actual creator gets significantly more income per month, even after the Patreon cut: $0.70, or 304% more. Also they’re not forced to create 3 videos per month just to eat

Honestly, after sitting down and doing the math, I’m a bit disheartened. I thought I was supporting my favourite creators more with YouTube premium, but 70% goes towards subsidising the music app I don’t even use, which is insane to me. Wrote a program, again that runs on startup and creates a service. On a much shorter interval every 15–150 seconds, it jiggles the mouse cursor slightly. Just enough to cause a mis-click

Another program that replaces a full stop keypress with a comma 10% of the time. Really funny for assignments and typing URLs

Another one ejects the floppy drive at random intervals. This one I never released due to data loss risk

Another that kills the monitoring software the school I.T. team uses for watching your screen or preventing you playing flash games

Finally one that makes the computer go BEEP every once in a while

I know this might sound like just another “just keep waiting”, but my life improved 1000% once I finished school and moved out. The oppression from an impartial school system, and living in a space where I’m not in charge of my own life, was fucking torture. A.I. is proving that 20<40 by:

• creating a sequence
• then completely disregarding that
• then saying that since you can add 20 to itself to create 40 it must be less
• then disregarding that and saying that the sequence of numbers proves it because we found 20 first

Honestly since it’s such a simple equation, in real life you could just say 20<40 because 20<40. You don’t really need to prove anything, the proof is in the logical operator. The homework question is dumb because it isn’t clear what they’re asking for.

Really it’s about constraints yeah?

• Needs to fit in pocket
• Needs to be convenient to hold up to your face for phone calls
• Needs to be small enough to be holdable in one hand (highly individual)
• Needs to be big enough that you can use the touchscreen effectively (highly individual)

So really you can just use the size of an average pocket and hand as a guide and go from there. Once it stops fitting in pockets and hands, it has to go in the bag, and typing becomes very difficult as you have to prop up the device, which means people won’t use it as much and get annoyed with it.

If it’s just battery life, you can get bags and such nowadays with convenient rechargable battery packs in them. You don’t need to change the device at all. If you want more screen size as a bigger person, there’s XL versions of phones. Other than that there’s no reason to get a bigger phone
