I evolved from a monkey.
I want to help the fediverse grow, but I have the tendency to get into arguments and say things in the heat of the moment that I later regret, which I feel is counterproductive to the whole fedigrow thing. So I’m working on trying make sure I have more good vibes around here.

Thanks for the info.
In my opinion, it’s better to start off simple while writing the content since then you can pick a tool based on what type of formatting you end up needing
Yeah I guess there should be rudimentary markdown to LaTeX translation programs, right?
oh interesting never heard of it. are there any advantages over using LaTeX?
interesting. how does it do with collaboration? the guy im working with has no tech knowledge really so i dont want to make it too complicated for him

Very fair. They always insist that people in China really like the CCP but I’ve never found that to be true. Having lived in a city with a very large Chinese diaspora I found that people generally really didn’t like the CCP. But maybe theres some selection effect going on there? The people who didnt like the CCP are the ones who left? Im not sure.
Either way, those guys on lemmy.ml are really intense. You say one thing they don’t like and they’ll just come at you like a pack of dogs and fling insult after insult your way. Thats funny because here in Canada I knew a guy in highschool who had a clearly fake girlfriend who he said lived down south in the US
