I don’t remember if I saw this one in person or not, but the Morton rotates through large, nature-inspired sculptures like this every few years. And you’re right, a lot of them will include natural materials but they are generally metal or concrete shells over a metal frame.

But being serious, this habitat probably either has an open portal somewhere on it’s floor for entry/egress, which means the interior air is at equilibrium pressure with the water outside, or it is externally pressurized to resist the crushing force of the water at depth.
Subs have neither of those–just really strong walls to resist the pressure difference between the sea outside and the ~1atm air inside.

On top of that, I swear the UI changes 1-2 times per year with software updates. It’s hard to pinpoint since I’m usually 90% asleep when interacting with the alarm, but I know it has changed from tap to swipe and switched sides at least once since I got my last phone in 2022.
There is absolutely no reason for that shit. If you look at an old school alarm clock, the snooze button is the size of a small country, and there is usually a much smaller button or sliding switch to make damn sure you meant to turn the alarm off.

Sadly, in my limited experience with people who wear their shoes inside by default, it has been this one.
To add to this, if you compare a dresser (or table or whatever) at ikea to a piece of the same price range from pretty much anywhere else, it’s almost absurd how much better quality the IKEA piece will be. Or maybe it’s more accurate to say it’s absurd how crappy the non-IKEA piece will be.
Seriously, go to a furniture store and look at the drawer construction and hardware on a $1000 dresser and compare that to a $400 IKEA dresser.
There is definitely some garbage at the bottom of their price ranges, but their mid range stuff is generally a solid value.
