“Where does Bus Bound fall on the various scales of vehicle simulators?”
It’s more fun that all the others I’ve tried.
“Is it a complete accurate-to-the-last-decal vehicle simulation that in order to enjoy, you basically need a bus licence and a lifelong obsession with bus manufacturers?”
No, but the buses look great and feel responsive and intuitive to drive.
“Is it a casual bus driving game like what Euro Truck Simulator 2 is for lorries?”
It’s more fun and instantly playable than ETS2 and takes itself a bit less seriously. Also, there aren’t a million, bajillion settings to tweak.
“Does it have a management aspect, and if so, how deep does it go?”
I’ve only scratched the surface of that. You develop bus routes and get more and more buses and the more you succeed in getting likes, the more the town itself changes and improves.
“Is it particularly moddable?”
It’s just come out so I don’t know.
“Is it made for wheel-and-pedal players?”
Ah, that I do know! It worked instantly with my Thrustmaster T248 wheel and pedals. The thing is I kind of prefer playing it with my keyboard. Not sure why…
I love that guy! So I guess yeah… good first impression 🤣 and no it’s isn’t GTA5 Bus Driving. It’s just a really nice, not overly complicated bus game. Unlike so many other bus games for me in this one they’ve really nailed the environment. It feels bustling and busy and not like a bad film set. That’s one of the issues I had with Bus Simulator 21. This one’s fun and great looking.
Thanks everyone, really interesting responses and you’ve all given me lots of food for thought 🙂
“The slop may happen to mostly be correct this time.” I’m glad you understand that now. There really isn’t anything else to discuss. This was never about AI Slop. That’s just a distraction.
You’ve already been told by someone else that this is not inaccurate and you are fully able to research it yourself. If you want to “raise the quality of discussion” please do so. So far I see very little evidence of that.
Thanks for that comment. This was such an odd post. Also the other statement in it that Japan has no jurisdiction over US bases is also inaccurate. They are Japanese territory leased to the United States under the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty. While these bases are under exclusive U.S. control and operate under U.S. jurisdiction, they remain part of Japan. It seems posts like these are just intended to increase friction.
What a weird conversation terminating comment. All the information is referenced. Are you suggesting we should disregard Google results even if the references confirm the information? The Japanese military IS NOT under US command in emergency situations. If you believe otherwise I look forward to your evidence to the contrary.
Literally not true 🧐
Just Google: “Is the Japanese military under US command when there is a national emergency?”.
"No, the Japanese military—officially known as the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF)—is not automatically under United States command during a national emergency.
Under the current security framework and Japanese law, the JSDF is controlled by the Japanese Ministry of Defense, with the Prime Minister as the commander-in-chief.
Here is the breakdown of the command structure during emergencies:
Independent Command Chains: In an emergency, Japanese and U.S. forces operate under their respective chains of command, cooperating closely as allies rather than as a single integrated force.
Operational Coordination: While not technically under U.S. command, the JSDF is designed for extreme interoperability with the U.S. military. They use a “Joint Operations Command” (established in March 2025) and an “Alliance Coordination Mechanism” to synchronize efforts.
“Rear Support” Role: Japanese law allows the JSDF to provide “rear support” to U.S. forces in regional contingencies, but this is a coordinated activity rather than a command transfer.
Historical Context/Debate: The idea that Japan’s forces would fall under a U.S. commander in a crisis is a subject of political debate within Japan, stemming from an unofficial “secret pact” in the 1950s. However, modern Japanese officials have explicitly stated they are not considering transferring command authority to the U.S.
Key 2025/2026 Shift:Japan has established a permanent Joint Operations Command (JJOC) to unify its own branches, allowing it to act more independently, while the U.S. is elevating its own forces in Japan (USFJ) to a “Joint Force Headquarters” to facilitate smoother peer-to-peer cooperation rather than unilateral command.

He’s out of moves basically. This is just a toddler holding his breath now. What a sad clown.

Have you noticed the push at the moment to try to create a moral argument AGAINST talking about the Epstein files? That’s straight out of the disinfo playbook. “C’mon guys, not everything is about the Epstein files. You’re so obsessed. Let’s move on guys, c’mon” etc.
It’s also such an easily countered argument. Something can be two things. The war is awful AND Donald Trump being a pedo rapist is ALSO awful.
I’m pretty confident though that his deep involvement with Epstein and all the crimes he committed are pretty baked into people’s consciousnesses by now though. Whatever he does, the ghost of Epstein will be waiting for him at the end.

You know… you’re right. I should be more Epstein files about it. You can’t reduce a complex Epstein Files likes this to just one Epstein files.

That’s just such an Epstein files thing to say. How can a President Epstein files those words and expect the world not to Epstein files in revulsion. To be brutally Epstein files he seems a little desperate. These are not the words of a sane Epstein files.

A battery icon feels like an odd choice as a container of anxiety. A ball of squiggly lines or some lighting bolts that disappear gradually would make more sense to me but hey, it still conveys the message.
It woulds be interesting to see what a Venn diagram of “flat-earthers” and “people who pre-order games” would look like.

It is interesting mind you, although obviously not deliberate in any way. It’s interesting because if you wanted to use existing geology to excavate a base into, that would be a very useful place to do it without having to go underground. Just for reference, my background in geology, astrophysics and engineering is that I’ve played Minecraft a couple of times lol

What Trump actually did was hold up a mirror to America so they could see how rotten everything actually was behind the illusion. A painful, humbling lesson but one that has a chance to actually address the rot. There is a future where we all learn from this and move forward after he’s gone in a positive way. Removing tumors is dangerous and painful but it’s the only hope of survival. The amount of damage doesn’t matter if the lessons learnt lead to meaningful progress.

“I really wanted to like this comment but I think the writer has now abandoned it. There have been no updates and I think maybe AI was used for some of it. It also crashed my browser 5 times. I’d ask for a refund but writing this comment took me past the 10 second returns window.”
Joking aside, the problem with the Steam review system is that people tend to read negative reviews before they pay any attention to positive ones. As a result it has turned into a massive platform for review bombers and personal drama sandbox for entitled attention seekers. There isn’t any good faith left in any of it. I’ve learnt to ignore 90% of the reviews now and have ended up playing some excellent games I wouldn’t have otherwise.

Step 1 - Get really excited and wishlist this.
Step 2 - Wait… lots.
Step 3 - Finally it’s available! Go to Steam page reviews and it’s “Mostly Negative” and filled with comments that start with “I really wanted to like this but…” and “Trash”, “Slow, laggy even on my Geforce Quantum Space Folding powered by unicorn tears GFX card”.
No shade on the game which looks awesome but the Steam review system is so badly broken it’s such a bummer.
You can fix this problem by always going to bed at 3:30am. That’s the point where the tiredness gets louder than the ghosts of the past.
