I haven’t eaten a huge variety of hamburgers, but I particularly liked the “Tobikiri Cheese” burger (now discontinued) from the Japanese hamburger chain Mos Burger.
Mos Burger emphasizes using “domestically sourced” ingredients, and among the many foreign-owned burger chains in Japan, it particularly pursues a taste tailored to Japanese palates.
Furthermore, this hamburger chain stands out among Japanese hamburger chains, having been the first to sell the “Teriyaki Burger” (also known as the Samurai Burger).
Unfortunately, this favorite menu item is no longer available, but I like the overall flavor direction of this brand, so I’m thinking of going back again.
44·2 months agoWhat I’m particularly concerned about lately is the growing share of online forums that don’t even publish their content on the web.
The most famous example of this type of forum is probably Discord.
As those of you on Lemmy know, many people chose Discord as an alternative after Reddit’s deterioration.
Hasn’t this problem already escalated to the point where access to content isn’t guaranteed not only to some bots but even to individuals without accounts?
Shouldn’t those who love the web be extremely wary of online communities that don’t even try to be based on the web?
That’s what I think.
If search engines truly only show the “existence” of forums, then the open web is truly over.
Yes, I know about it. My specialty is personal websites in the Japanese-speaking world, which is my native language, and some of the website creators occasionally use this service.
For example, DJ Telematic Visions does.
Music. Because it’s sound, even when I’m at my most lethargic, depressed, and too exhausted to do anything, I can enjoy it just by feeling its vibrations in my body.
Collecting rare and high-quality pages on the internet, especially personal websites. In this age of social media where information flow is manipulated by algorithms, the culture of personal link collections is all the more necessary.

In addition to Bing, there are other search engines that currently rely on Bing’s search results, including but not limited to DuckDuckGo.
And Google is worse than Bing.
It has been disclosed that the company’s search index for Japanese websites is subject to opaque censorship by organizations collaborating with the police authorities.

Google is the only foreign company participating in this censorship; Microsoft and other foreign companies are not involved.
I think this fact alone is enough for Google’s search service to be subject to a boycott.
