1·2 days agoThanks for playing, I’ll be working on that today so you can choose which body is focused in terms of relative orbit. Pretty weird seeing the orbit around the planet while orbiting the moon.

science@lemmy.world•Trump signs executive order calling for fewer childhood vaccines, falsely linking shots to autismEnglish
8·2 days agoI genuinely believe at this point that trump is working to weaken the United States, how big of a chance is there that this is deliberate, that he’s not actually acting in good faith of the American people based on his actions?

205·4 days agoAll the sloppers are torn about this, but Torvalds has undeniable mastery at this, so it’s great to see AI being used as a beneficial tool. If there’s a single person who should have unlimited access to the most powerful AI models, it should be Linus Torvalds.
It’s from lossless PNG to lossless JXL.

It’s a compressed WebP so what you’re seeing isn’t truly the actual images. Unfortunately I had to upload a compressed WebP of the example, solely to display the size difference.
If you want to see clear comparisons go to https://jpegxl.info/
the two formats have entirely different use cases
Do they? JXL is lossless, this conversion is purely lossless. What are the different use cases?
Indeed it’s a huge waste, and with all these data center hysteria, this is a genuine solution to reduce data storage/transfer costs.
Yea this is diplaying in the UI for me, why does it requre the .webp?format=jxl instead of just being .jxl? Seems weird. If you want something that can display JPEG XL you can use chromium and go to chrome://flags/#enable-jxl

What I did instead is I added an afterburner, so you can hold shift to 2x your thrust force. I’ve firmly decided to not have any manipulation of the time in the core simulation, but I did add it to the replay mode.
