1·8 months agoInstalled Arch Linux for the first time on an old laptop as guinea pig before my desktop. Wasn’t as difficult as I expected though there are definitely some oddities in the wiki that threw me off here and there.
Also finished a Necron that had been on my table for months!

Looks like it’s already happening!
Yeah Goldeneye has a legit good campaign… would love to play it on PC with some modern convenience. The Perfect Dark decomp/port project is fantastic so maybe there’s hope for a Goldeneye port too regardless of what Nintendo says!
Nice post!
Fan-made big box with a Civvie quote on the back… that’s the dream as an aspiring boomer shooter dev!
I’ve been playing Nine Sols on Steam Deck this week… getting my arse kicked and it’s making me kinda sad. I used to love difficult reflex challenge games like the From Software games, etc. But last year I was destroyed by a mystery virus and it did something to my brain. I’ve been feeling a lot better for the last few months and thought maybe I’ve finally recovered enough to play some hard games so I grabbed Nine Sols and yeah, I’m not quite there. But it seems like a really cool game! Urgh!
I’ve also been playing Medal of Honor Allied Assault which I grabbed in the GOG sale. Playing through on hard has been a blast (except the snipers, fuck those guys), and the early 2000s aesthetics are really nice… didn’t realise how much I missed this style as I usually go for 90s games when I’m feeling retro.

1·8 months agoThose backdrops are nice! I tried out a Kill Team board as a sort of rocky cliff face backdrop but it was too obviously just a board… might have a go at making something like yours!

[Migrated, see pinned post] Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•I just made mushroom soup, it feels nice and homey. What are your favorite soups?English
3·9 months agoRed chilli and bean soup!
- 1 red capsicum
- 1 medium onion
- 1 celery stick
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 400g can tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 700ml vegetable stock
- 1 can mixed beans
- 25g kale leaves, shredded
- Chop capsicum, celery, carrot, and onion. Crush garlic.
- Heat oil in large pan, add chopped vegetables, saute for 5 minutes but don’t colour the vegetables.
- Add chilli powder and cook for a minute.
- Blend the tomatoes and add to the pan with puree and stock. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Drain and rinse the beans, stir into the soup with kale. Cook for a few minutes until the beans have warmed and the kale wilted.
- Season with pepper and serve.
Love this soup! Usually swap the kale for spinach though.

6·9 months agoI licensed some music to my biological brother’s company. After years of enduring abuse to protect what was my main source of income, he terminated the contract and ghosted me right before a major milestone for the business so he got to keep my windfall despite him already being a multimillionaire in his early 30s. Great guy.

3·9 months agoI love that movie! IMO the practical effects make it more unsettling. It feels more real than CGI even if some of those effects look pretty fake.

Looks fantastic! So refreshing! How long did it take to paint it all?
