It's a huge tax on the European economy. 💡 Tip: Cancel and resubscribe on the app's website.English4·17 days agoNo, I just can’t do this one, I used to do that but Apple is great at giving my money back, there was a mental health app located in Europe that stole not 200$ but 400$ from me during a period I could not afford it.
They made two mistakes after I had already deleted the app and unsubscribes from the trial.
Apple is great at giving me my money back and I trust them , it takes 15 minutes most of the time.

rebelflesh@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•New undersea cable tech listens for sabotage — can be retrofitted to existing fiber optic linesEnglish17·27 days agoReally cool tech and simple tech, tldr, it uses acustics to detect even light touches in the cable; basically it turns cables into guitar strings.
As for sabotage, I don’t know, you could infer what boat caused it maybe? Like the Russian sabotage at the beginning of the war with Ukraine? Doesn’t seem to be much data other than, hey something is touching the cable.
But is a search engine we actually figured those out a few years ago, what advantage is AI going to bring? Do we also need ai wheels now?
This is the smart thing all over again, I don’t need a smart toilet or a smart toothbrush.
