Do you have any source that they are AI generated? They are ugly as hell, but to me they don’t seem to be AI generated.

Ok, in my opinion Giesswein is very good at marketing. Lets look at my shoes, they are from 2022 or 2023. Assembled in Vietnam. In the meantime they stopped (some?) production in Austria¹. So it is very unlikely, that these shoes were made in Vietnam in 2022 and are produced in Austria nowadays. Sadly I don’t have the other shoes anymore, to look where they were made.

IF they were made in Austria today you can be very sure that they would advertise the shit out of it, but they don’t. You can only read very vague statements like “Designed in Austria” or the manufacturer on the shop page, but even on their about us page there is nothing like “some products made in Austria”. In older articles you can find out that some of the materials are made in Austria but assembly is done in China or Vietnam. But I couldn’t find current sources for this claim². Sorry for the german sources.

Edit: 130 people are working in Brixlegg/ Austria. In 2024 the remaining 35 positions in the production were cancelled, so no more production in Briggslegg³. The Shop pages all list Brixlegg as manufacturer, so without workers in the production, who is making the shoes in Brixlegg? How are they doing so many products with only 130 people? Endedit.

Where did you find the manufacturing location on the product page? The only thing I can find is “Designed in Austria”.

If I remember correctly the last pair of shoes I bought from them were Made in China. And sadly my feet seem to have a weird shape, three pairs of shoes broke at the same position. My big toe sticks out a bit, so the top wore out after a few months.

The shoes themselves were extremely comfortable and looked very good. I got some compliments for them.

The OneNote Microsoft wanted to discontinue in favor of the Win10 OneNote a few years ago is staying, so they can axe the Win10 OneNote.

Aaand preordered. The Pebble Steel was one of the best smartwatches I’ve ever had. I loved that thing and I’m still pissed that I sold the steel a few years ago.

I’m aware of that. I even wanted to add an asterisk to my text but couldn’t remember that it was called consignment, so I left it out.

In the end you don’t know for sure if a store operates on consignment, and in return if you sabotage the store or the company. And even if you know, destroying products, all the labour, resources and energy that went into it, just to fuck a company is still stupid and wasteful.

What a great idea! The store has to write off a loss AND has to buy more of the product. The only winner is the company you try to sabotage because thanks to you they have a higher revenue and possibly profit.
