3·24 days agoI think the reason why regular store bought gizmos won’t let you decrypt it is because content can require HDCP to make sure you don’t gain access to the data. If there were a device at Best Buy that just bypassed this, I think the DMCA and rights holders would come down hard on the seller.
I’ve heard of gizmos from shadier places may be able to decrypt the data but it’s likely because they’re acting outside of the law.
Closest thing would be toluene, but that has 8 hydrogen atoms
They all have a system for keeping track of that, I know iCloud automatically assigns a URL to each based on where you created it, or Fastmail (which I use) has a comment field and automatically tags each email as it comes to your inbox.
It takes more than zero effort to create it, so it’s too much effort for my wife, but I absolutely love it.
There’s really nothing to be done about the compromised email address, but I would really recommend using a service that creates unique email addresses per service that you sign up for to mitigate the blast radius when one service gets pwned. It takes a long while, but thankfully privacy laws are stronger now and it’s easier to force a company to either delete your information or change the email they have for you.

It’s great fun if you can get into it, it fulfills one of your basic needs in a much more fun and satisfying way, and it can be a good and attractive quality in a future partner and / or fun to do with them.

We got out cheap at about $25… we had a smaller (100 person) wedding, went budget on the food, had a DJ, cake, etc. (basically just what the OP said), and we were still hand crafting stuff to reduce the cost. Shit is fucking expensive.

I know that… I was taking liberties to take hydroelectric power to its furthest logical extension by saying that the sun is evaporating (boiling) the water, it goes through the water cycle, it is deposited atop mountains or further upriver, and it then flows back down through the hydroelectric stations.
