Fuck AI@lemmy.world•I've finally understood what my beef with AI is
9·15 days agoTechnological progress alone (AI included) is not going to solve poverty, homelessness, starvation, inequality, etc.
We have the ability to solve those now. We already know how to solve those problems (no AI needed). But as long as we have capitalism and heirarchies, much of humanity’s labour is going to be spent toiling away at meaningless jobs instead of improving the human condition.
We are in the dystopia you fear we’ll descend into.

81·16 days agoIt says “Made with AI” at the bottom left. It also just looks so AI generated I would’ve bet $50 even if they’re wasn’t the disclaimer

4·2 months agoOh boy it was an amazing surprise for me. I hadn’t been keeping up with the Marvel films and my friends invited me to Thor: Ragnarok (I hadn’t seem the first two).
I was absolutely flabbergasted to see the Hulk there. I was like “What the fuck is he doing here! This is awesome!”
Sometimes it’s great to be out-of-the-loop

One of her eyelishes isn’t connected to her eye. Only one eyebrow.
What is that gun? Where is the trigger and trigger guard?
Has the general gen-AI vibe.
Message is neat but fuck generative AI
This doesn’t seem very anarcho-nihilist of you, lumpen ;)
Who’s the little green guy?
Holy em-dashes, Batman!
I’m an enjoyer of em dashes, myself (before AI 😢) but that is far too many

473·3 months agoThis is likely not the Generative AI, LLM-slop type of AI you’re thinking of.
I hate generative AI. But other forms of AI and machine learning have been used for much longer and haven’t facilitated the building of ecologically harmful datacenters.
For example, AlphaFold, which is an AI program that can predict how proteins fold and is an incredibly useful tool.
I expect that the use of AI here would be similar: something trained for a specific purpose, not just generic generative AI tech like ChatGPT

All of the sequels (2–5) were being filmed and made at the same time. So they’re already almost done, no way we’re not getting all of them
