I also just noticed that Charlie Brown appears to have the ability to summon a tree stump underneath himself before he lands.

Laplace’s demon:

knows the precise location and momentum of every particle in the universe

Presumably this includes the cards in their opponent’s hand.

Maxwell’s demon:

can distinguish between fast and slow molecules, and can open and close tiny doors very quickly

While also impressive, these skills seem less directly applicable to winning at poker.

Is it? I’ve heard Zillennials use most of these in casual conversation…

My theory: She selected the balloon elsewhere in the store, and brought it to the checkout counter. Rather than being a request for the balloon itself, I posit that the purpose of her proclamation is to inform the store clerk what item to ring up, and in turn how much change (if any) she should receive.
