You guys talkin’ 'bout my girl, my girl, my girl?
Because, you see, I’ve got so much honey the bees envy me.
As ably demonstrated in Gattaca.

4·3 days agoThere was an episode of Scrubs wherein the female doctor Elliott was given a sexist patient. The patient assumed from her gender that she was a nurse, so she invented a fictional male doctor named Elliott and claimed that all of her directions were being relayed from that individual.
I don’t remember exactly how it panned out. It was only one episode, not a major premise.

Perry Bible Fellowship@discuss.online•Charged (2023-07-18)English
7·3 days agoOne can be charged with a crime. “Battery” is a crime: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battery_(crime)
Also, a battery is a device. One would usually think of it as being charged, not charging, but it could do the latter - think of a power bank, basically a big battery.
The comic sets your expectations to wordplay, then immediately defies those expectations with a more literal interpretation.

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that the belly button/naval is a 'scar'English
4·3 days agoApparently, when plastic surgeons do tummy tucks, they sometimes have to “drill” out a new navel.
Ahhh. I was unfamiliar. I am sorry for misinterpreting your comment.
Sorry, I meant that I was providing another example. I didn’t want to name it because I didn’t want to give spoilers, despite my example being a fairly old movie at this point.
And a live action movie that leans heavily on tattoos as a plot instrument.
Also if you configure it to generate a new MAC every time it connects to a known network and you have spotty WiFi on a cheap consumer grade router, its client list may be swiftly overwhelmed. Don’t ask me how I know.
This is less likely on enterprise grade hardware with an actual staff to take care of it, but the consequences may be more severe.
