I suspect it’s any university degree that doesn’t have obvious “practical” benefits at this point (and even then).
No, no, capitulate up stupid!
Also probably doesn’t help that all the online discourse around VR is that there’s nothing worth playing except Alyx.
Impossible to verify but I feel like it is mostly people that don’t have a VR setup that claim this. Or people that bought it for Alyx and didn’t even bother looking into other games.
Also some people just leave launchers open and rack up ghost hours unintentionally.
An uncommon case, but I like to suspend the game process so I can get back into the game without wading through loading screens etc. But with Steam at least playtime tracking increases during this time so it seems like I have 100s of hours of playtime.
Can you be a bit more specific? I.e the exact GPU, mesa version, version of Proton used. The older kernel is definitely a bad idea for AMD GPUs, especially if it’s a recent GPU.
Edit: Just saw you have a rx580. Do you know how much VRAM it has? Linux when using Proton tends to use more VRAM than on Windows so that could be part of the issue.
I thought that was just a figure of speech. Case closed!
They don’t care about crime at all, it’s just a dogwhistle for black and brown people. If anything, this is a benefit because it means they can inflict harm on more people they don’t like during the “crackdown”.
Another point to add is that the definition of upf is extremely broad and vague. And there isn’t much evidence that this whole category is harmful because of how broad it is. But hey, maybe it will still result in healthier meals overall nevertheless.
It’s still pretty buggy from all reports, but maybe a sign that Deckard is actually coming.
My experience is that WiVRn is the best option at the moment since async reprojection properly works (unlike ALVR) but there is less compatibility because you have to rely on xrizer/opencomposite to play OpenVR games, which is most of them. xrizer is rapidly improving however, and already supports many more games than it did even 6 months ago.
Bart shoots this poor bird then takes it upon himself to raise the eggs that are left behind. Turns out, the eggs contained invasive lizards. Thankfully, Principal Skinner suggests introducing a bunch of other invasive species to take care of the problem culminating in the “gorillas simply freezing to death”.
Oh and the episode is called: “Bart the Mother”
MP3 is fine if the bitrate is high enough and it was encoded with a semi-modern encoder. I still prefer FLAC so I can transcode it to whatever lossy codec I need without additional losses (usually Opus but there may be better codecs in the future).
It’s not paid but you could try self hosting searxng. Since it’s FOSS there isn’t the conflict of interest issue, although be aware it’s a meta search engine so relies on the quality of common search engines. And your IP could be traced if it’s not connected through a commercial vpn just like using the search engines directly.
Google is an AI company, even if that’s not all they are.
Look into the notion of the circular economy if you want to investigate this further, although it goes well beyond just recycling.
I wonder if people are rushing to get it with the expectation there will be a ban coming in the near future.
Maybe Navidrome’s jukebox mode, although I suspect it’s a slightly different idea (and it was a bit buggy last time I tried it).
Many don’t run into dir structure issues because they have already organised their libraries with beets or an equivalent. I don’t personally have any issues with playing albums either. Some of the issues you are talking about seem to be client side, are you only testing the web interfaces?
Android based VR headsets will eventually want some level of RT support for games.
