I would suggest that this is ultimately the source of the “conservative” or “apathetic moderate” outlook… The idea that we cannot actually institute some wonderful, salvific policy that will change everything.

And it is fine - these people can downvote… Let them. Yes, it is kind of annoying, particularly when you trigger someone and then all of your posts with little traction get systematically downvoted, lol. But it’s fine.
