Jokes aside don’t be scared to use a lot of flux and or/try to resolder things several times.
Don’t over use soldering wire. It’ll make the joint worse.
If you are using one of those smart soldering irons with usb-c power only don’t forget to order the right power brick beforehand. For me a 45w one was powerful enough.
Flux smoke is toxic but you won’t die in 10 seconds if you accidentaly breath in some.
Go for it. It isn’t as scary as people make it out to be
