I ran a peertube instance until really recently, it had to go away when my main server SSD failed and something needed to go (and nobody was using mine anyway)
There’s a bunch of subdomains at peertube.biz and peertube.red that have great content, and beetoons.tv has tons of great animated content. I’ll be joining up because I’d like to say on the ecosystem.
Ouch! Having your main server SSD is such a pain, I dread that happening too, even with back-ups it’s still shitty.
I don’t have it federated with anything at the moment, it started as a place for Alice to upload her creations. But I’m willing to be persuaded to link it to specific instances if they are trustworthy, let me know which ones you recommend (if there are any more besides those 3).
it’s a christmas miracle since I didn’t have any recent backups that the SSD was barely able to hold it together long enough for me to pull the data off using a liveCD one time. Automated daily backups now.
That is really lucky! I’m glad you managed to get the data off, it really pays to have those back-ups running.
