I think it emphasizes that just forgiving and moving on is the best policy, and that a lot of the relationship advice that is out there is just promoted by grifters. It’s fluff that sounds good. It can actually be bad for relationships…
I’d never say “Don’t tell your side of the story,” I always do that. Never don’t do that. But at some point couples have to agree to disagree and just move on, and growing from that means accepting that certain negative traits of your spouse are only negative for you, and just accepting that they have to do some of these things to stay sane.
I’ve grown to resent pop psychology / relationship advice because I think it puts bad ideas in people’s heads and they end up looking at it like this is the science and we have to live & die by what it says here…!
Understandable. I was originally going to say there’s nothing wrong with the top part or lower part of the meme. Sometimes you need to give space or time to process things alone.
