Feeders are okay, but the real joy comes from watching hummingbirds feed at flowers. In my experience they’re big fans of fuchsias, and I’ve also seen them at fireweed.

Hummingbirds ignored my feeder this year. Ants ended up finding a path to it, so I took it down. :-/
We found that ant moats like these are great for keeping the ants off our Hummingbird feeders. You can find how-to’s online for DIY versions too.
