Not to take away from this community. Mostly just so we can have more communities across Lemmy. Some instances block hilariouschaos, some block .today, some block, lemmyusa, etc.

The backlash hit fast. lmao

All we did was make a space of links to things for people who share our political beliefs. But holy shit, did that make Lemmy mad!

I locked posts and made the community mod-only to keep it from getting flooded by hostile users who only want to derail and attack. It’s the only way to build a stable space without the constant chaos that comes from Lemmy’s extremist mobs.

They are furious that someone dared to be openly conservative are here on Lemmy. The same reason they hate this hilariouschaos community.

For many of them, political diversity only matters when it fits inside their own worldview.

They talk a lot about inclusivity and tolerance, but the way they reacted told a different story.

Downvotes hit before people even read what was written. lol

I won’t apologize for it. People should be able to hold different beliefs without being shouted down or erased. Lemmy be fucking crazy these days with the hate.

Blue MAGA is a thing for sure! lol

      It’s good. Plenty of drama from serial downvoters being made for serial downvoting, but it’s Lemmy, so not too surprising.

      Really no goal other than just bringing some more communities to Lemmy. Actually the oner here on hilariouschaos gets more posts, and is the better community.

      But it’s fun watching Lemmy freak out when they find out there are other conservative communities out and about.

    Great, just subscribed - I am not a conservative (lean more to libertarian) but I really think the left is cancer in our society. It spreads and destroys. They think they are the good guys, but they aren’t.

    The more they are challenged the better - even if I don’t agree with a lot of MAGA policies.
