    I’m glad there’s an article about these! Been hard to find info about them ever since I saw a ton of folks wearing them in Tampere around May Day last year when I visited a good friend who lives there

    Can add that “halare” is only in finnish swedish, in swedish swedish they are referred to as “studentovve” or “ovve” (short for overall) as they’re also a tradition in Sweden.

        The overalls are called haalarit in Finnish and halare in Swedish, which is also an official language in Finland.
