Realistically: They spent more than 180 days, after that milestone shit gets weird. Men start to go blind, muscle mass stops being able to be maintained, spinal disks goes weird, fertility is permanently negatively effected, etc. It’s invaluable data to study then even if they aren’t reporting symptoms.
Conspiracy: they’re space zombies now.
Goo bones? I bet it’s goo bones.
Smh :(
Nah we’ve had astronauts in space much longer than they were. This is something different.
The only thing I can think of is some issue with differences or incompatibilities between the Starliner suits and the Dragon capsule that either weren’t accounted for or more likely had no alternative given the situation.
Astronaut suits are custom made for each individual, and each manufacturer has their own system. They accomplish the same task, but in slightly different ways.
The Starliner crew is still on the ISS. They return with crew-9 in February.
Huh, wonder why I thought they came back already on a Dragon.
I was just kidding, of course :P
One of the crew, who has not been identified, was “briefly detained” at the hospital but was released “in good health” to continue what it called post-flight reconditioning, the US space agency said at the time.
This is not news. It was probably not even space-related.
It’s absolutely space related, there are serious health problems associated with even a couple months in zero-g.
Uh-oh, somebody’s chest asploded again.
