In my defense, she told me it was going to be on a Thursday, but it was actually on a Friday and I had taken Thursday Off. but once I found out Thursday morning that her prom was Friday. I made no effort to get Friday off from work because I was afraid I was going to lose my job. I actually knew the girl since I was five years old because she was the daughter of my dad‘s ex fiancé. She has an extremely rare muscle degenerative disease that only appears in one in every couple of million people. To this day this is one of my biggest regrets
