Bikes are a scam perpetuated by big tire. Run at full speed for all of your travel.
Pros:
Cons:
It’s about the context in which you wear it.
You just reminded me fiddleheads deserve a mention.
If people sold bricks only in the Spring they’d be seasonal. Seasonal ≠ in season, or at peak ripeness.
Funding for public defenders. They’re chronicly overworked and understaffed.
I recently found the American Revolution Podcast by Michael Troy which goes intro insane details about the war. 300+ ~25 minute episodes going into detail on every aspect leading up to and during the war, with a dash of dry humor.
Tldr it depends.
You might not notice with adrenaline pumping. As for lethality it really depends on where in your stomach you get hit and the care you get afterwards. In terms of the fight if it’s just your stomach area getting hit nothing shy of a spinal hit would instantly stop you. If they hit an artery you’ve got minutes. If they puncture your intestines and you can’t get care days, before infection catches up to you.
For the actual conflict the only things that will instantly stop are central nervous system hits (brain/spine). Heart and lungs are the next worst, but wouldn’t stop you from claiming a pyrrhic victory. Major arteries are the next big thing to worry about.
The worst part about getting hit in a non vital part of the chest wouldn’t be the force of the blow but the slow agonizing battle with infection that is not unlikely to follow. But absolutely livable and not nearly as bad with modern medical care.
Just look up Trump-isms. Just like Bush-isms or Biden-isms.
Tldr non partisan answer: Libertarian philosophy favors negative rights over positive rights.
Negative rights oblige others to not impede (like not censoring free speech).
Positive rights oblige others to provide something (like healthcare).

For further reading for anyone interested:
I forget which one but one of the Supreme Court Justices has stated that they’ve estimated it could take as little as 2% of the national population to halt an amendment by starting from the smallest state and getting half plus 1 in opposition.
That would have been Antonin Scalia. He also advocated for lowering the bar to pass amendments.
If it was spinosaurus we would have lost half of our world’s paleontologists.
Thinking new people are stupid for asking the same questions they asked 3 years ago. My hobby is every hobby.
I liked the new one. The plot structure was more interesting IMO
Werner is Hizinburgs first name, yeah we’re cool like that.
