Thanks for the suggestions. We have been thinking about having my partner switch jobs to something that provides better healthcare coverage. But that could take a while and put the business opportunity at risk.

Yeah, that’s also what I’m thinking. It’s just so sad that the US healthcare system is the thing that’s holding back business. Seems counterintuitive. I was just hoping someone knew of a good workaround.
I guess one option is to save more and risk losing the business opportunity.
I can, but it’s still outrageously expensive compared to my current situation. It would put a lot of financial stress on us in a situation that’s already stressful in every way possible.
We have some issues too.
Very true. But so do Europe and Canada.
One of my favorite small cities. Would live there if I could, but it’s unfortunately too expensive.
As someone who has taken dumps in mansions in both the state of Georgia and the French Riviera, I agree. Costs a lot more in the French Riviera, though.
It’s important to do my part for the environment, even if it comes at a cost. I’m willing to deal with some initial issues since it’s a newer technology.
Mine does, too. But I’m interested in moving to an EV for the sake of the environment and the planet. Not necessarily a Tesla, though.
I think there’s an equal amount of anger on both sides. Unfortunately.
There’s no longer room for actual, mature debate. Just mud-slinging and slurs. The fact is that most people are somewhere in the center politically, but the extremists are louder and get the attention because it’s entertaining and the media uses it to sell content. It sucks.
There are lots of evangelicals. That’s the answer.
There are also fewer and fewer evangelicals. So, it could change significantly over the next decade.
I don’t think there’s ever going to be a case for “less education is better,” but I also don’t think more education necessarily leads to higher salaries. It often does, but those are two different conversations in by book.
Definitely. Just take one tiny step at a time. No one will notice and it all just seems normal: “It’s always been like that.” No, it hasn’t always been like that. The tiny steps got you to the same place, it just took longer.
Pretty sure my phone has 8GB of RAM. Apple should probably rethink this.
You can identify by other means. Or at least give the opportunity to use other means. If you can’t keep my personal information safe, you shouldn’t be allowed to collect it.
It’s really lame that companies like AT&T even need your SSN. Why do they need that to set up a phone line or an internet connection? There’s gotta be a better way.
Hmm. I don’t know about that. Maybe certain very rich people have more freedom regarding the way they can live. I just have to do 9-5, no questions asked.
Unfortunately, parents aren’t always able to do their parenting very well and need their own guidance.
So, when am I gonna see some of all that UBI?
Set a weekly cleaning day and stick to it. On weeks when you can’t clean on that day, move it to a different day. Don’t skip.
And no shoes inside, ever. Tracks in lots of filth, even when you think you have clean shoes.
I’m 7-3. I eat lunch at my desk while I work so I can leave early.
