Wow… I’m looking and post to slashdot.org, daily, since 1998 or something…

Cool, I have Birdnet and whenever I hear a bird I launch it, it’s cool! I’m also an old dull man.
Alien, Star Wars, too
Al Bundy is my hero, and boy do I had/have a crush on Kelly, incredible
I liked the comics, I liked the movie (director’s cut) and the serie was a 10/10
Restarting like that, it’s either overheating (reaching 100°C) but you ruled out that, so low voltages, maybe some voltage on your PSU is weak, sometimes a 1.3V becoming 1.2V and it reboot.
Watch something worst
Nope, not anymore. As a kid yes I remember, but for maybe 10-15 years now, nope, super rare. Or I guess I dream but have no clue and don’t remember.
a little bit like you…
For android, Sync is excellent, I even bought it, so no ads.
And it’s not from today, in the 90s a friend of mine was hired for IBM, imagine!!! I don’t think he made a year there, it was already horrible.
For me it was a video of a big fat Hawaiian guy in a pool or something, I saw it for years, hundreds of time, in my “recommended feed”. I now know this is a singer, Israel, but I never ever clicked on the thumbnail, and it always came in my feed, I never knew why, after a few years it disappeared I guess the algorithm has a limit of 2000 print per user or something? At one time it said “ok, this user will not watch it, let’s bother someone else for middle-aged healthy ad” ?
Being Europeans, it’s funny to read amtrak stories, in France/Europe there is TGV since 1981, going 200mph, and now about everywhere. It’s incredible to read your stories, it looks like 1880
I also had the kit, 495FF IIRC
Incredible, I started with a ZX81 (it was using a Z80) in 1981, then moved to a CPC6128 in 1984, still using a Z80, I learnt assembler on it, cracking games, etc, good memories :)
I guess about everyone (kids/teens) know how to tie their shoes, but something I saw in the last 10 years or so, kids, especially in big towns, does not how to ride a bike. I’ve seen teens who never rode a bike and don’t know how.
From what the guy saw, it looks like what I saw in some campground in Myrtle Beach, SC. Full of quite obese men, strangely a lot of veterans/fire fighters, wearing family/faith/gun/constitution t-shirt, with their 100k trucks and 100k fifthwheel (with obligatory NRA member sticker on it), with 12ft trump flags on their pole, talking loudly, etc. competing each other on the bigger RV, places they went to, etc.
But they talk to us, the plebs with pop-up campers, they are often quite nice, just don’t talk politics/abortion/religion with them :)
This was a fantastic read, thanks! It confirms I will never go on a cruise!
It’s 120V and 240V
