Most plants that we eat are excellent at taking up heavy metals too - potatoes and herbs especially.

Most waste isn’t spent fuel, it’s tools and clothes and PPE and steel and other bits that have been directly exposed to radiation long enough to become radioactive.
Pretty much this. The average gets dragged down by a HIGH infant mortality rate - nest predators from snakes to raccoons to hawks and vultures kill a lot of hatchlings, as well as things like simple accidents (falling out of a tree, for instance).
Nah, this has been a thing for a WHILE. My great grandma had cookbooks from the 1930s with recipes for cicadas.
Pretty much this. Elon was never interested in what he SHOULD HAVE BEEN: making an inexpensive electric vehicle that’s widely available. Tesla had the tech to do so, but they were being driven to make insane decisions like moving the gearshift to a touchscreen (gee, I love taking my eyes off the road to shift gears), or making “futuristic” doors that actually cannot physically open from the inside (whoops, guess those just can’t be recalled since DOT has literally no teeth).
I knew a few women that played airsoft at a local field I used to play at, who made a habit of wolf-packing around the field in 2s and 3s. I asked them at one point how they learned to coordinate so well, and it turned out that they had to institute an actual buddy system because some players (long since banned from the local community) decided to get handsy with one of them at one point…and got a broken arm for his trouble.
Don’t forget people thinking that scanlines in a news broadcast over Obama’s suit meant that Obama was a HOLOGRAM and ACTUALLY A LIZARD PERSON.
Not really laws, at least in the US. So long as they don’t claim it’s made of things it isn’t, they can say “well the packaging clearly states it’s not real, actual leather”.
Kentucky was named the Bluegrass State because it was so invasive that when settlers came into the area, they found the whole state carpeted in it.
From what I understand, it’s mostly that they’re TOTALLY OK with the sort of shit China has been doing. They’re just mad it’s not THEIR boots.
My issue, as a younger grognard, is that point and click character builders and sheets have led to a lot of players who don’t actually understand how to play the game without their buttons. They don’t get what I mean when I say “roll a spell attack” unless they have a button that does it. They don’t get how to build a character outside of something like D&D Beyond where it does everything for you.
