Youtube version: “Born to un-alive”
Same with apple, tho 😇
😁 I have a MacBook pro with only 2g ram running the newest linux kernel, nouveau and Gnome on Wayland without swap, höhö. Well it runs mostly, it’s enough to stream from plex, tho.
Lol, that’s only 500km, there are many EVs capable to drive this in one sitting, but to be honest, a 15min charge and eat break would be great for every driver in a 4h ride.
Sadly it is not possible, but yea, beeper host their own matrix server which is the only server the client connects to. At least we can use all the bridges with our own matrix server.
Edit: lol, that photo quality 🥲 it is a mail conversation with beeper:
Me: I have a matrix homeserver and want to use beeper client with it, is that possible?
Beeper: That is not possible at the moment.
Me: Oh, what a bummer… But thank you very much for the fast reply! Is it planned that the client will work with selfhosted servers in the future, or is is it possible to selfhost a beeper-matrix-server?
Beeper: No plans for it at the moment. And negative.
So sad…
Can we not use the beeper client with our own homeserver? That’s sad…
Matrix is a opensource, decentralized protocol for encrypted messaging. You can host your own server or use your server of choice (generally matrix.org server) and there are many clients for nearly all platforms (there are webapps as well)
I personally have never tested beeper, so I can’t give you a reason review but I have an account at a friends matrix server. I mostly use element as the client, but there is as well fluffyChat which invests more in design and less in features.
From what I heard, running the server yourself isn’t that trivial according to my friend, but I’m positive that you would work it out with some time
The bridges beeper uses to interact with other services are opensource as well
No, you use the beeper messenger to talk to all other messaging clients. But you can make ultimate multi service groups by having puppet accounts on all the services which relay messages from the other services.
Beeper is a service, which offers matrix, matrix bridges for nearly any other service and a client to use them on nearly any hardware.
Yes, capacitors have a lifetime which decreases if they experience heat.
Imagine neurolink dropping support for your device and now you have eWaste in your brain, just like the company, which made Eyes for disabled people and then went bankrupt leaving customers with eWaste in their eye holes
I’d use a used laptop/desktop on Linux, e.g. something like steamOS, and then use jellyfin to stream stuff to this laptop. The media i watch is pirated, because it is more convenient and better quality than if I stream it through streaming service, even tho I pay for “4k” on these services.
🤔or you were just on a different iOS version at the time where Apollo was still alive
This is iOS, not voyager, since voyager uses the apple SDK player, iirc
The behaviour is intended as far as I understand Apple’s iOS philosophy. This is to prevent bad coded apps from consuming too many recourses like RAM and battery. I guess this is also a reason why linux phones have such shorter battery life compared to android/iOS devices.
