Can we take a minute to appreciate the bookstore that this is happening at?

It’s called McNally Robinson. It’s based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It has previously expanded into places like New York city, but I believe now only operates out of Winnipeg .

It is a phenomenal bookstore that does wonders for local artists giving them platforms they otherwise would not get.

Great story all around.

I do this with my daughter while waiting for her therapy appointment. We sit in the park across the street and eat a happy meal while chatting. I don’t know if it’s the therapy or the time together but she’s so much more balanced since we started this I’m good paying for the therapy even if it’s our conversations that are making that difference.

And yet yesterday we have clear video released showing armed Hamas fighters headbands and all. Getting in and out of UNRWA vehicles just outside the Rafah gate.

You’ve got the agency acknowledging that they were supplying Hamas with power underneath their headquarters, yet somehow we’re supposed to believe they weren’t aware.

Got thousands of pages of documents linking employees of the agency to Hamas.

And yet when the UN investigates itself it finds nothing wrong. Even while we’re seeing them covertly revise the mortality numbers and cutting the number of children dead in half. So what are we supposed to believe? Because they’ve certainly undermined any credibility that they could possibly have on this file with their public statements and actions.

When you don’t believe what you see with your own eyes, It’s because your bias is stronger than your ability to reason.

Edit. Hamas agreed to release bodies when they couldn’t come up with the number of hostages that they said they could. They’ve admitted they can’t turn over the number of live hostages to fulfill their end of the bargain. So how is that Israel’s fault? Hostages in exchange for truce is the deal, The only one misinformed here is you on a number of levels and it appears that you need to step outside your Echo chamber.

Well they paid the power bill for Hamas for starters. Anyone who believes they weren’t aware of what’s underneath their hq is not worth engaging in discussing with frankly.

There’s reams of proof out there. You just need to get out of your Echo chamber.

UNRWA is apparently an aid group. They’re also quite clearly terrorists. They even house terrorists in their official facilities can’t provide them with the electricity they need.

Sadly, as long as Hamas continues to embed themselves within the civilian population, this will continue to happen. It’s not acceptable but it’s a sad reality of war. The fastest way to stop this is to release the hostages.

I listen to podcasts from both of those. They’re nowhere near as biased as BBC or others who are covering the situation.

People are constantly saying that all of the news coverage is anti-palestinian but I don’t see it and you’re telling me to go to a single Network to find it. That circle doesn’t Square.

All I see is pro protest coverage though? There’s loads of video showing Jewish students getting roughed up on campus, none of it on the news. When those guys showed up to take down the encampment, it was wall to wall coverage about the aggressive actions.

Similar for Columbia. Barely saw any coverage of the arrests that seem to be mostly agitators rather than students. Ground had a section on the blind spots the other day on this not getting coverage.

We truly do live in Echo Chambers.

Back to the initiation of the culture… this isn’t hard to understand. Is there a 3 million year old culture remaining today? No.

There’s a 3000 year old one though and they’re in their homelands again.

So you’re saying that violence should win out. That’s an interesting take. Those people were forced to convert under threat of death, just like happened across the MENA region. That’s an indisputable fact with reams of history in that country backing it up. Both the Arabs and Jews kept great notes.

Arab Jews don’t exist. That’s literally not a thing. Ask any Sephardic or Mizrahi Jew and you’ll get an earful. There are Jews who refused to convert, they’re not Arabs. If you believe that violence is an acceptable form of wielding power as you claim above, then you would be hypocritical to take issue with the situation in Gaza today. Violence isn’t the answer IMO, no one wins that way. Seems like people want to ignore that’s how Islam spread though, but the people who live in the sole non Arab state in the region won’t ignore it and are clearly fed up with it. If violence is the chosen path, it’s very evident the Israelis are up for the task.

Lastly, over 70% of Israelis are either Arab or from the MENA region. Your lies about them being European Jews is just yet another bigoted stereotype. You seem to be hitting all the classics here.

The entire point of decolonization is giving the land back to the people who are indigenous to it. Arabs are not indigenous to Judea. They come from the Arabian Peninsula.
