Don’t get me wrong. I like his politics but is it because I am European that I find this really cringe?
Edit: It’s not the cycling but the fake smiles and waving like they haven’t seen somebody for weeks
You will be assimilated. Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile.

Also this prime example

Sounds like you are looking at the grass over the fence.
It’s always greener than on this side

Life demands efforts. It’s not like downloading and pressing play.
Its interesting that you find it hard to seek out the lifestyle that you want when that lifestyle will actually require a lot more effort just to survive

And the Greeks

He wants us to say thank you
I don’t know. It’s an authorized profession over here, and prices are regulated by the government.
Just a small adjustment to his stiff neck issue that he picked up a few months ago
This hits hard…
I woke up early today (without an alarm) because I had to bring my dog to a chiropractor at noon.
So I had a cup of coffee and a pipe, watching the morning dew dry up
It’s one of 3 days off this week, and that’s only because I sacrificed one additional day off to fake an extra shift on Friday. It pays double though, because of union regulations, even though I’d have taken it for regular pay anyway.
The only difference is, that I don’t have friends to meet up with, mostly because I don’t want to, and that I’m not in a drinking mode yet, but sounds like I could pick that up at some point

Don’t shoot. We’re not ready to shoot back yet
It’s more a question about using or abusing a smile:

I know that in some (many) cultures, the American “smile” can be unnerving
Maybe the smile

Sorry. I meant accumulated wealth. English is my second language
My point is not political. It’s more social. Spend your money while you’re living instead of hoarding it

I think you’re reading into this, what you want to read and not what I’m saying
My point was that if we all started from scratch, and fortunes weren’t passed over from generations to generations, the social and economic gap would be smaller
Prices would adjust to what people could pay

Not necessarily
You assume that there is wealth and that it should be regulated
It’s more of a cultural thing, where people actually use their wealth while they can and when they can’t, they pass it over to a charity of their choosing.
This at least is very common here

This is because some people still can afford to pay outrageous prices or willing (forced) to go into unreasonable debt.
Its not that. But the smile is unnerving. That said, I guess it is a cultural thing. People do smile at each other, in other places, and are genuinly kind, just not as “extremely” and “superficial” as this.
