Mine was pretty good. Strangely I had FTTC for about 2 weeks and they came back to upgrade to FTTP.

I did a lot of the prep work myself to make sure it was as quick and easy for them as possible. I dug trenches, pulled drawstring through the walls etc.

The weird part was that they got 90% through the FTTP install and the job got cancelled because I already had NBN. I had to convince them it was worth finishing.

Don’t search for reviews. Search for forum posts where users are having issues. “[Product] + [not working/failed/broken]” gets you an idea of what the product is like to live with, and now quickly issues get resolved.

My kitchen has a solid ban on any product with the word “maker” in the name. They’re all junk that take up space and do a worse job than conventional methods.

I can vouch for this. I run completely unrooted GrapheneOS and no app has ever failed a safetynet test. Banking apps and Pokemon Go work just fine.

I’ve never had issues with LineageOS either, but this is before the hardware attestation days.

Imagine buying a piece of hardware and actually owning it.

Well, an unlockable bootloader that allows flashing any operating system would be nice. You can install Linux on a Macbook, so why not an iPhone?

Hardware should not ever be locked to an operating system.
