2·14 days agoDr Glaucomflecken just did a sketch mocking a doctor for saying dehydration when they meant hypovolemia (lack of water vs lack of total fluids). There was also this one about mental health terminology.

11·2 months agoHaving to pay child support is such a consistent back-story for “sovereign citizen” / “insane peope of facebook” / “trying to flee their country or live off-grid” that it’s scary to imagine what someone would do to avoid that situation.
May be relevant - that book was super difficult to understand what it’s trying to recommend
The Silence Of The Lambs, arguably more disturbing than the film as you know more of what the characters are thinking.
They are on stilts - you can walk underneath the first floor!
The US base calls them first level and second level. The British base calls them operational level and upper level.
Red has first floor = ground floor. Blue has first floor above ground floor.
Same with The End of Eternity - they can travel to different times at which the machine existed.
In fact, isn’t it a bit similar with the only ‘real’ possibility of time travel - you create a wormhole and take one end on a relativistic journey to create a time difference between the ends, but the only possible travel is between the two ends that you have created.
Or that sci-fi predicted it (For The Win)
