Perhaps some people who don’t mind the ethics of gen AI work very hard to produce good work. But I believe that when you give people an easy, low-effort path, a great many of them will take it (regardless of the quality of the results). Training notwithstanding, a vast number of people cannot resist the lure of doing as little as possible.

A fan of a voice actor has decided that they are in a relationship with the VA’s character (yumeship). They therefore want the VA to dump their real girlfriend, and they want the VA to also delete pictures of themself they’ve posted, because the fan is jealous that other people can see their “fictional other” (like significant other, but you know, fictional).

The fan expects the VA to do all these things because an AI chatbot based on the VA’s character said they would.

I don’t have the answers for you unfortunately. I am personally opposed to image generating AIs for ethical reasons (art theft, basically), and I don’t use them. But I’m also an amateur artist so I don’t commission much art anymore, and I don’t do commissions for other people either. Maybe someone else will have more of a read on the state of things?
