With a side of mental trauma from doing cannibalism! We all love that now, don’t we?
I consider this an absolute win.
Can you please comment on:
My intention is not to be pedantic, but to learn more about your proposed solution. I do appreciate your thoughtful answers in the comments here.
Newpipe rocks! I’d like to find an app that allows me to use my account for likes, subscriptions, etc though.
I have some questions::
Will there be discussion before banning or only after banning?
Will the ban system be reviewed regularly and by whom?
Are you open to discussing the technology you claim to have built for this? In my opinion, denying transparency and relying on security by obscurity of a closed-source algorithm makes me question the algorithm and also reminds me of moderation on Meta and YouTube.
Have you attempted this method of tone policing with manual moderation in any communities first? If so, how did it go?
Is this post satire?
Yeah! Let’s kick them out of public spaces… wait a minute.
“Authority first, food later. I swearsies.”
Libertarian is the opposite of authoritarian on the political compass. It’s a shame that it’s had a phase shift in meaning and most people assume it’s right-wing libtertarianism, i.e. turbo capitalism with no rules/regulations.
I think they’re referring to right-wing libertarians specifically.
You can be left-leaning while also not a fan of neoliberalism. :)
Remember not to feed the trolls, people.
Not OP, but you’re saying they’re authoritatian when it’s patently a decentralized, anti-authoritarian and leaderless movement. This shows a fundamental lack of understanding about what anti-fascists are.
No offence, but it sounds like your views are largely shaped by more right-leaning media’s depictions of antifa.
I take issue with both the authoritarian left and authoritarian right: being an apologist for Soviet Russia as well as being an apologist for the USA is not OK in my opinion.
I find it futile to take a position on which is worse because that just gives space to be an apologist for one that’s “less bad”. I see this happening in this thread right now.
Should I defederate from both lemmy.world and lemmy.ml? Of course not. In fact, I find both to be more tolerable and cooperative than reddit today.
That’s why leftists are prone to like it.
This has not been my experience speaking to leftists at all.
Well done! Is there a Lemmy community where I could find more of this?
In many places, people use their cars significantly less due to the quality of public transport and walkable/bikeable communities. Less cars on the road results in less traffic overall. It may seem naive to someone living in an American suburb but perfectly reasonable to someone living in Copenhagen.
Thank you for your work on this! Wikis are a really handy addition to communities, so it’ll be nice having the etherpad to let us all collaborate together.
Thanks for following up - I just replied.
I tried pasting a peertube link and peertube server in Jerboa but unfortunately nothing came up. Perhaps I’m doing it wrong?
