Saw this on r/fountainpens this morning. Pretty long winded so here is a TL;DR: calling cheap fountain pens possibly made in China “starter pens” is racist and offensive.
Luckily there is quite a bit of push back in the comments since there are highly regarded Japanese and European “starter pens.”
(Yes I like fountain pens and subscribe to a subreddit about them)
It’s pretty funny how they keep equating bad pens with “Asia” I think they’re afraid to say the bad ones are Chinese.
