Another filler question. Three of my friends called one and she turned out to be a real deal - she basically knew everything about each of them and told them to go fck themselves because they called her for shit and giggles, which was true. Then they asked me to do it.
I never had more interesting and friendlier conversation with the stranger.

What was your experience, if any?

My non blood aunt who spends all day smoking weed, being fat and looking like todays Rob Reiner with long hair claims to have “mystical powers and can see the future” however… my opinion is that she is just an old burn out 1970s weed head that discovered a grift to make her a couple of bucks once in s while

I have a grudge against her because when my uncle was suffering from emphysema she kept bringing him cigarettes despite doctors orders against it, she’s not really a good person tbh

I’ve been to a lot of them but usually just because my friends wanted to go to get their tarot cards read but I’ve never personally done it myself. There used to be a lot of them where I used to live

We have a few in town that are genuine, but creepy. The majority of those are just larks leeching for cash. If they can’t see or hear you there is no way to read your identity. For example my readings done online were super fun. You can imagine why.

So you do tarot cards too yourself right? Do you happen to be Wiccan by chance?

My readings were super fun because a reader didn’t know anything about me, everything was wrong, and it is pretty clear that 99% are fakes that try to persuade people that they are real. I do this for fun, not to persuade anybody into anything, or charge for that nonsense. I am not a Wiccan, but I find them extra amusing.

I never did for basically two reasons:

    • when I wasn’t really religious, I thought it was all fake.
    • when I became religious and realized it was, or could be at least, somewhat legit, it had also become against my religion.

When you thought it was fake, you didn’t miss much, because basically it is. Majority of these people try to persuade others it is real and then charge for that. If it works, they would not need to do it. They could use it for anything. If you believe now that it could be partially legit but makes you feel odd or bad in any way, than it probably is for you, and you should stay away from such a thing. There is a reason why it makes you uneasy.

I haven’t, the way I look at it:

    • If they’re a sham then I’d be wasting my money
    • If they’re legitimate, then I don’t want to know my future/fortune. I think knowing your future is a curse.

I like playing along for fun, like what you’re doing with your community here.

Huge majority is a total sham, but you pay the entertainment. And yes, the real ones are creepy. Having fun is a key.
