      video game industry was already a problem for film industry; I saw an article arguing “addictive distraction” in general was a problem for film and other industries already (think: short tiktok clips).

        There is a theory that younger men who play video games are the problem because they are not watching film and TV as much to be brainwashed

          interesting correlation / causation theory: those who are less susceptible to media persuasion may play video games, those who play video games may consume less media persuasion
