It’s a Catholic website, yeah. I liked the information they presented and the order they presented it in.
I put up all manner of news sites, including rather alternative and obscure ones.
I think it’s good for a thinking brain to be exposed to perspectives they normally do not see.
Especially for the alternative and obscure it is especially imprtant to also take their track record into account when reading their articles.
And this one obviously has a rather bad one.
It’s highly editorialized, as it is designed to inform English speaking Catholics about the situation Orban faces, but where are the lies in terms of facts?
You just hate how it’s couched and don’t understand what critical reading and thinking are.
Calling the Situation “EU warmongering” when Orban is pretty much the only opposition to the broad consensus in the bloc that aggression against on of the direct neighbours, which also aspires to become part of the bloc mind you, is seen as threatening the peace in Europe and should be stopped right where it is currently is grossly misrepresenting facts. That is my gripe with it (apart from a rightwing news side I have never heard of before coming to the aid of a rightwing cleptocrat that undermines press freedom amongst other not-so-democratic things. Don’t like that either).
And that is also the context one has to keep in mind reading the IMHO pretty onesided article.
