Yeah I’m always confused by the people who are like the downvote button is for off topic discussions. Like no that’s reporting and functionally the downvote button is the “I had a negative reaction to this button” and the up vote is the “I had a positive reaction to this button”

Personally I don’t downvote anyone because it just feels petty and pointless. Some of my favorite comments have loads of downvotes and to me it just makes whatever dumb shit I said funnier

Filtering the names of popular political figures is leaving me with much less political news and the stuff that remains I am much more likely to care about than the usual gossip about celebrities, I mean politicians.

Much like a bicycle it is more practical and safe to use a helmet when sitting on a chair than it is to have a seatbelt. Seatbelts are more useful when restraining someone in a safe enclosed space whereas on a bike, motorcycle or office chair it could cause more harm than without if a serious accident occurs.
