Hah, joke’s on you. The list of shit that I could possibly remember is so large that nothing stands out.
Oh no, you!

I’m not taking it back. It is my firm opinion that they’re OK. I was just never very fond of meat + pastry/batter. I can see why some like them, but that combo was never part of my diet growing up, and as such, it ends up in the same category as Pie or Beef Wellington for me.
“It’s ok” is the most accurate description possible I think.
Disclaimer: I’m not British (hello from the other side of the north sea), but I’ve spent enough time all over the UK to have eaten them.
I’d put it in the category of foods that some in a region probably enjoy, while being hard to find elsewhere. Like the deep fried Mars bar and cornish pasty: “It’s OK”
Kind of. For a while she did. I moved abroad, and we both concluded that chapter to be over. A couple of years down the road I was visiting the old country (passportrenewal, iirc), and I happened to run into her the day before I was supposed to fly home. But then this volcano erupted, grounding all flights in Northern Europe for a while, and during this extra time we ended up picking up the thread where we left it.
I got her back about a year or two later. She’s currently about 1m to my right, and now that 15 years have passed we share a house with four kids and two cats.
Ok, I’ll be the one who does it…

What does solipsistic mean in this context? Or any context at all, for that matter…
Agree. 15+ years ago tech was developed for the tech itself, and it was simply ran as a service, usually for profit.
Now there’s too much corporate pressure on monetizing every single aspect, so the tech ends up being bogged down with privacy violations, cookie banners, AI training, and pretty much anything else that gives the owner one extra anual cent per user.
My body is a machine that turns caffeine into uptime.
Millimooch has such a nice ring to it
Lemmy for that parasocial bond, discord for chitchatting with some people I often game with, and the occasional phone call to people I used to live closer to.
EFIT: Oh, and Matrix for a more “realtime” equivalent to Lemmy.
EDIT2: The discord consists of people I know IRL. We just don’t live near each other anymore.
