For me, Reddit was always invaluable for getting initial information on anything I needed to check out for the first time.

Recommend that you go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Always On Display and uncheck “Show Wallpaper”
This will make it so the display is mostly black when not in use. Black pixels don’t use power on OLED screens, so it will help boost your battery life.
Or, leave the wallpaper if you’d rather.

What’s the plan if we run out of oil? I mean seriously, it’s gonna happen eventually. Even if you want to ignore the science on climate change, you can’t ignore basic laws of the universe that oil is a finite resource. If we don’t have a plan for when it runs out, there will be utter chaos.
I personally don’t care if people want to be vegan and sometimes I’ll eat vegan food. For me though, on the whole, I find vegan food unappealing. It usually involves compromises and doesn’t taste that great.
Additionally, I did eat in a house of vegetarians for about 10 months once. I ate meat outside the house on occasion, but mostly ate vegetarian. It was really hard on my stomach. After meals, I would usually have crazy gas. It did improve over time, but always was an issue for me.
For these reasons, I don’t prefer veganism or vegetarianism. It’s okay if you do though.
Edit: for vegans wondering why they’re hated, I think the downvotes to this comment summarize it. Above I’ve expressed a view perfectly tolerant of veganism. I’ve even tried some of it myself, but don’t find it appealing. Rather than just accept that someone else has a different dietary preference than you, you shit on them. If you want to be tolerated, be tolerant.
NextDNS is basically pihole as an actual DNS. You can configure your own blocklists and allowlists. They also provide pre-built blocklists, some even from AdGuard itself. As for privacy it supports encrypted DNS like DoH and allows you to choose the logging policy for your requests. You can have no logs, or some logs for a certain retention period (ex. 30 days). You can also choose which country your logs are stored in (ex. Switzerland). You can see your own logs and even analytics about your requests. There are loads of other features as well.

Most thermostats would fail in that timeframe. Our original Nest thermostat failed this year because the connection that turns on the furnace wore out or became thin. Caused our furnace to click on and off repeatedly and ruined a relay on the furnace’s circuit board. Had to replace the thermostat and the furnace circuit board. Costly repair. Upgrade your thermostat before it wears out.

FCC Chairwoman who made this happen. She was also there voting against Ajit (Shit Pie) Pai when he pushed to overturn Obama era net neutrality back in 2017. She also initially set up the net neutrality rules during the Obama admin. She can be credited for fighting this fight for many years now on our behalf.
Thanks Jessica Rosenworcel.
How is this even constitutional. Does the 4th amendment even exist?
This is not something that should be solved by the app front end. This should be fixed by a combination of moderator actions and some backend validation to detect inadvertent duplicate posts.
Some restaurants have a “bring your own” policy. Go there, order food, and then you can drink your own drinks.
Agree… you’d think Google would prioritize sites that are actually useful. Quora isn’t useful unless you want to jump through a bunch of hoops to sign in.
