You’re describing the Fallacy Fallacy, being that the implication that the argument is necessarily wrong because a fallacy has been committed. That a fallacy has been committed by the other party should not alone be used as an argument against the point itself.

I.e. you committed a strawman fallacy by stating that all strawmen are made of straw, therefore no strawmen are made of straw

Going to corroborate this with that I had a really similar experience with my old Sabertooth 990FX board. Was supposed to support Bulldozer, and they put out a BIOS update the night before Bulldozer launched. I grabbed the update, put it on a flash drive, and updated the board. It would never post after that. RAM, CPU (FX6100), graphics card were all reseated multiple times. Never even gave post beeps, so there wasn’t even a hint as to what was going on. Even tried a different PSU just to be safe.

ASUS told me to get shafted because they couldn’t guarantee I updated the BIOS safely.

CompUSA exchanged it with a pre-updated board, no questions asked.

That being said, I’m surprised there’s no open source TCG.

For those that live in apartments, there are VESA stands that mount to the back of your furniture, and others that use a clamp for tables, so you don’t have to put holes in your walls. I use one on my desk for a fairly wide monitor.

If you’re unfamiliar with VESA mounts, just take note of which of the two standards your device uses. These are going to be either 75x75mm or 100x100mm. Verify with a ruler, don’t rely on the literature to be accurate.

If you wanna be mega-bougie about it, you can get just the mounting plate, and there is couple hardware available to pair it with aluminum extrusion, if you really like that 2040/2080 extrusion.
