Today in F1 (Singapore GP) it rained for a short time but very heavy on one part of the track and F1 for whatever reason gets the brooms out and overall fails badly with wetness.

Nascar tech could have blasted away deep standing water in a couple minutes and leave the wet weather tires on the F1 cars to handle the rest but F1 is too cheap to invest in infrastructure and unpaid manual labour is cheaper than automation.
