An attack on one is an attack on all. I always wondered what would happen if one NATO country attacked another.

There are a lot of illegal things you can do, and a lot of things republican supporters openly do that involve violence. I’m not going to openly implicate myself but use your imagination.

There have been some successful non-violent revolutions in history, and there’s a strong case to be made that not exhausting those options could be a huge mistake.

We still have, right now, completely un-used tools at our disposal, such as unionizing en masse and deploying a general strike, which is insanely powerful (capable of bringing a nation to its knees if done widely enough), while being far less dangerous and more appealing to the general populace than any other means.

Unionization en mass and a general strike are just simply not realistic goals in the current political and social climate in the US. And that half assed attempt at organization at that level is now going to get my country invaded.

You know what else didn’t seem like reasonable goals in the current political climate? Dissolving USDA and global boycotts, resulting in absolutely tanking Tesla stock. Things change.

Organizing can make the change necessary to overcome usamerican fascism. Giving up and relying on the status quo will allow your “democracy” to die in silence.

I’m not saying don’t do those things. Quite the opposite. I just don’t see them playing out as effectively as they need to. But maybe I’m just becoming cynical in my old age. Power to you, organizing is useful.

Greenland and Canada are NATO countries. You cannot attack or forcefully annex another NATO country. If he leaves NATO, he will be up against Canada & Europe. The US is one Twizzler away from having the entire world sanction & boycott it.

And who does that benefit on the large scale?

This isn’t Trump being a greedy idiot. This is systematic destruction of the US from inside out. Can’t say Russia didn’t warn you though:

“We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the US. We will destroy you from within.”

      — Nikita Khrushchev January 18th, 1956

I know I’m supposed to understand that China is horrible, and the young US dick-tatorship is still nothing compared to Chinese high-tech totalitarian dystopia… but somehow, seeing USA, a supposed former friend and ally, turn into a ruthless, unprincipled traitor, aligning itself with Russia… With Russia, of all states! And spitting in the face of the hero of our times…

We know Russians here in Poland. We know how their army works, we know their mentality. When Ukraine reported war crimes, we believed them. Seeing US backstab Ukraine like that… It’s just too much. I think the American brand is dead for us.

China has done about 1/100th the crap the us has. Even at its best, the us was overthrowing legitimate governments and destroying entire nations. China may not be perfect, but they are a whole hell of a lot better than the us.

China is a shit country. But like if you look at where they are coming from historically I think they are moving forwards. America is moving backwards. China has a ton of potential and I hope the chinese use it well. I am less hopeful for americans at this point.

The more I look into Greenland situation the more I am thinking there’s already a psychological campaign in play to get them to be part of the US. They’re legitimately trying to get away for the Danish government and there’s a strong US presence there already with military bases. I suspect the target is to get them to hand over the keys not only willingly but ask for it.

Dumbass doesn’t even understand that NATO is a DEFENSIVE pact and that Denmark is a member. Not wanting to give you their territory doesn’t count as an attack.

Also if he really cared about security he would have strengthened his ties with his allies instead of pushing them away. The US is far less secure now that it was 3 months ago.

      NATO isn’t really defensive.

It’s two main Engagements - Kosovo and Afghanistan - were pretty solidly offensive imo.

Can we stop these kinds of comments? It’s exactly what MAGA will use to rile up violence against Canada. Who doesn’t like a fun plumber video game but we’re better off encouraging and helping Americans to organise.
