Instances only see federated content from external communities that have at least one subscriber on the instance. If you want our content to propagate to a certain instance, then please sign up with them and start subbing to some of our communities - I’ve been doing this for the larger ones.
Ok. I don’t know any external, but I am open to suggestion if you know any with a good mix of fitness/food and movies/paranormal. So anything around those lines. I am elbows deep into scripts, I wouldn’t survive daily portion of programming communities, not interested into that. But any instance containing those other stuff will be fine.
I’ll let you know if I find anything that ticks that box

🤣 Yeah it’s becoming apparent that people will downvote us in general, not so much the content. It’s not bad yet, but I know it’s coming. I don’t particularly care about the votes themselves, but Lemmy does use downvotes to figure out what shit to move down from view, so it can affect stuff you post.
I am against disabling the downvotes. Yes, it’s not encouraged but if I really want to downvote it’d be better to have that as an option
