🤣 Yeah it’s becoming apparent that people will downvote us in general, not so much the content. It’s not bad yet, but I know it’s coming. I don’t particularly care about the votes themselves, but Lemmy does use downvotes to figure out what shit to move down from view, so it can affect stuff you post.
I am against disabling the downvotes. Yes, it’s not encouraged but if I really want to downvote it’d be better to have that as an option
