It’s pretty cool! Especially the way the astroturf more or less looks like grass but then tears off in the sinkhole - it gives it that uncanny look

Why did it tear though? The ground didn’t expand, it just dropped out below it. I would think it would hang like a sheet over a hole.

True! That’s kind of strange. I guess it’s quite wide so the center was heavy enough to rip it all out? Maybe it was wet or something too.

Another little Alton fact: The farthest inland sighting of a bull shark was in Alton IL. Bull sharks can spend quite a while in fresh water.

Oh hey, this is pretty close to me, I’m gonna go throw stuff in it to see what happens then pop on over to fast eddies bon air for some cheap food, cold beer, and live entertainment 7 nights a week! If you’re 21 and in the mood, come on over to Fast Eddie’s Bon Air in Alton IL!

I’m close enough that I have that advert fucking memorized… food is good and cheap though…

That image is not AI generated? What are all these lines and multiple goals for?

A standard football pitch is quite large so it’s common for schools to subdivide it to save on space or make it bearable for younger students.

There’s no standard size for a soccer field…

So it’s not unheard of for complexes to have multiple set ups like this.

Like how a HS gymnasium can have one major basketball court for games, but has like 6 more baskets that can be lowered for practice

I hate that I want to enter that sink hole and go under those sheets of grass.

It’s incredibly dangerous, and yet when will I ever get the opportunity to do this.
